Mark Stevenson is a qualified ConTact C.A.R.E Flinchlock Release Practitioner with more than twenty years as a plasterer, Mark understands firsthand how years of physical work and impact can take their toll on the body.
His journey with ConTact C.A.R.E began in 2019 after suffering from chronic plantar fasciitis that no other treatment could resolve. After just three sessions, he was pain free. The experience changed his life and inspired him to train as a practitioner.
Mark became fully qualified in January 2024 after years of hands on experience working with friends, family, and tradespeople. He is passionate about helping others release deep seated tension, recover from impact injuries, and regain ease of movement. His approach is down to earth, compassionate, and practical.
Laura previously worked as a veterinary nurse throughout her twenties and retrained as a massage therapist at 35. She lives in Whangārei with her two teenage children.
Laura was first introduced to ConTact C.A.R.E in 2018 when her daughter walked into an appointment on crutches and walked out without them. Surprised and intrigued, Laura attended her first foundation course in 2019 and has been steadily deepening her training since. She often integrates ConTact C.A.R.E techniques into massage sessions when tension does not release through massage alone.
After experiencing a concussion and whiplash last year, ConTact C.A.R.E became a major part of Laura’s own rehabilitation. Seeing the effects of this work on herself, her family, and her clients continues to motivate her to keep practicing and progressing in this field.
